It’s time for Peter’s Picks #3 – this is already an amazing section of the website. I can’t wait to see how it progresses.
His third pick is Expressway to Your Heart by The Blues Brothers
After knowing Peter for 12 years, I’ve grown a tremendous respect for his taste in music. The early years can be contributed to his father who is a musician–the family grew up listening to and learning about the classics.
At UNC, I took an elective called “Rock Music Appreciation” in honor of Peter. The professor had written his own book (a work in progress) that he made available for free via the Internet. I remember a whole section of the book being dedicated to The Beatles. Since then I’ve been giving every musical suggestion of his a fair chance.
In his e-mail, Peter said:

I appreciate it–I dont have to love the songs–that’s why they’re Peter’s picks

I never did swing by his house–the video game is in my laptop bag right next to me in Boone NC. But the first sentence was true.
