Meet the baby of the Adventure Paul family–my niece Brookelyn. Until she entered our family, I was still known as “the baby” because I am the youngest of four. I was happy to FINALLY give up the title when she came along.
I’ve been spending time with Brookelyn, my brother, and sister-in-law this week while in the Raleigh area. My brother hired a new attorney and added a new area of practice to his North Carolina law firm–so we updated his website to reflect these changes while I was here visiting.
Brookelyn knows all about videos and YouTube now–she’s practically an expert at using my Motorola Droid. When I came home from the office, she greeted me enthusiastically at the top of the stairs.
“Unky Paul do you want to play?”
“That’s EXACTLY what I want to do, Brookelyn.”
Then I made her sit there and wait while I did the 8 minute ab workout or else I never would’ve done it that day.
But now the exciting part…
“Okay press record,” she says. I follow her command and she begins to entertain like a natural. If only I had her camera presence.
“Can I see it now?” she asked me. “Yeah I say, but let’s film one more first.”
She goes and sits down at the electric piano and begins to play and sing. I say, “Wait! Wait! Let me hit record first.”
It took me a second to load the video camera application on my phone. “PRESS RECORD AGAIN” she says.
I love you Brookelyn.
Sincerely,
Unky Adventure Paul
