July 4th Weekend - Part 2

Early this week I posted July 4th Weekend – Part 1 but part 2 never came–till now.. just in time for the following weekend.

Part 2 begins by walking from West Asheville to Downtown with a red cup in my hand  and beer cans lining my cargo pockets. I went downtown to see the fireworks with Copy Meg, Movie Justin, and some other friends.

None of my Asheville Fireworks Pictures came out well because I didn’t take any. So instead, for those who missed the show, here’s a fireworks photo from Photographer Jon Leidel.

An actual fire started below the parking deck during the show about mid-way through, so the engineers took a 10 minute break. Most people thought the show was over at this point and started to leave. But not Adventure Paul because I had nothing else to do so I waited. The rest of the show plus the finale was impressive. Good job, Asheville.

Afterwards, Justin and I got up with Peter McGillicutty, Hot Neile, and Donnie and Marie Osmond (actually a different brother/sister duo) at the Lexington Avenue Brewery.

We ended up back at Neile’s house for after-hours drinking which turned into a watergun spray fight. At 3:30am as we’re leaving, I look at Justin and say “Want to take this too far?”

We start bombing on Neile and she runs outside. I pick up the garden hose and spray her for 4 minutes straight.

Most girls would have been irritated–but not Neile.  I get a Facebook Event Invite a few days later…
