Gmail Rich Text Signature
Finally, finally, finally Google has rich text signatures now–which means you can change the color, font, and format of your signature at the bottom of e-mails. It also means you can FINALLY include html links and images.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this. It never made sense to me that Microsoft Outlook has had that feature for years but Google overlooked it.
Why would I want to send an e-mail without my logo at the bottom or website links? In the past I used a browser applet that I could click on while composing an e-mail and it would insert a rich signature at the bottom of the e-mail. I rarely used it though because it was an extra step I had to take to send e-mail. Clicking “Send” is enough for me.
So thanks Google and good job. Now just let me update my voice-mail message with one click and I’ll be your biggest-fan (still).
