 One conversation in particular that caught my attention is when Jason told me where he works–at Duke Power headquarters in Charlotte. He explained to me what Smart Grid is and how it will affect the future of powering our planet. Smart Grid is fascinating and I’m going to briefly share the basics of what I’ve learned about this futuristic form of power consumption management. In addition I have discovered two videos from Duke Energy that I will share below that explain the fundamentals better than I will.

 I’ve just started using TwitterFeed to autopost new Adventure Paul blog entries to my Facebook Page and Twitter profile. Most of my updates are via this website so TwitterFeed will save me the time of having to manually update both social services when I post a new entry. At first I was hesitant to auto-update because I like having a personal message attached with each link. However, as I begin to travel & adventure daily–and update most frequently via the website–this service should be valuable.

 Finally, finally, finally Google has rich text signatures now–which means you can change the color, font, and format of your signature at the bottom of e-mails. It also means you can FINALLY include html links and images. I’ve been waiting a long time for this. It never made sense to me that Microsoft Outlook has had that feature for years but Google overlooked it.

 It is easier to use a plugin to display your Google Adsense ads across your website than to manually input the code on each post. I use the plugin called All-in-One Adsense and YPN to manage the advertisements that appear within my posts.
